Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Godsify Inc. (“Godsify,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles Personal Data when you use the Godsify mobile application, websites, AI-powered features, digital devotional experiences, GTS, communities, and other services that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”).
“Personal Data” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, can reasonably be linked to, or is otherwise protected as personal information under applicable privacy law. Some information you choose to provide, including religious or spiritual preferences and the content of prayers or devotional conversations, may be considered sensitive Personal Data under applicable law.
The information we collect depends on how you use Godsify and the features you choose to use.
We may collect your mobile phone number and authentication information used to create, verify, secure, and recover your account. If you add profile information, we may also collect your display name, profile image, username, or similar account details.
If you choose to provide them, we may collect information such as the deities, religious figures, traditions, practices, interests, or devotional preferences you follow. Because this information may reveal religious or philosophical beliefs, it may be considered sensitive Personal Data in some jurisdictions.
When you use interactive features, we may process text, prompts, responses, prayers, reflections, ritual selections, guided-chant activity, feedback, voice input, images, or other content you submit. If you include Personal Data in that content, we will process that information as part of providing the feature.
We may collect information about your use of Godsify, including sessions completed, prayers, rituals, Talk to God sessions, streaks, points, achievements, badges, connection levels, leaderboard participation, rewards, GTS balances and transactions, feature usage, timestamps, and similar engagement information.
We may receive information about purchases and transactions, such as product purchased, amount, currency, purchase status, refund status, GTS purchased or spent, and transaction identifiers. Apple, Google, or other payment processors generally process your full payment-card details; Godsify does not need to store full card numbers when a third-party payment provider processes the payment.
We may automatically collect IP address, device type, operating system, app version, language, device identifiers, crash logs, diagnostic data, network information, approximate location inferred from IP address, and similar technical information. We may use approximate location to localize content, comply with regional requirements, select appropriate service configurations, prevent fraud, and understand regional usage. We do not collect precise GPS location unless we separately tell you and obtain any permission or consent required by applicable law.
We may collect information about how you interact with the Services, such as screens viewed, features used, actions taken, session length, navigation paths, performance data, referral source, and engagement with notifications.
If you contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as your contact information, message contents, attachments, and support history.
We may receive information from app stores, payment processors, authentication providers, analytics providers, attribution providers, cloud or AI service providers, and other partners that help us operate the Services, subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
We may use Personal Data to:
· create, authenticate, secure, and manage your account;
· provide, operate, maintain, and personalize the Services;
· generate and deliver AI-powered responses and other interactive experiences;
· remember your spiritual preferences, followed deities or religious figures, progress, and settings;
· process GTS transactions, purchases, refunds, and related account balances;
· provide streaks, points, achievements, leaderboards, rewards, and other product mechanics;
· send transactional or service communications, authentication codes, security alerts, reminders, and, where permitted, promotional communications;
· measure performance, troubleshoot problems, conduct analytics, test features, and improve the Services;
· detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, harmful conduct, technical problems, or violations of our Terms;
· comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
· conduct corporate transactions such as a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets; and
· create aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, research, product development, and other lawful purposes.
When you use AI-powered features, the content you submit and the related context may be sent to Godsify systems and service providers that help generate the response, maintain the feature, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. AI systems may temporarily process your inputs and outputs in order to return a response.
We do not sell the content of your private prayers or private Talk to God conversations for monetary consideration, and we do not disclose that private content to advertising partners for targeted advertising.
We may use de-identified, aggregated, sampled, or limited interaction data to evaluate and improve the Services, including safety and quality. We will not use the content of private Talk to God conversations to train third-party general-purpose AI models unless we clearly disclose that practice and obtain consent where required by law.
Do not submit information about another person unless you are authorized to do so. Because no AI or online system is perfectly private or secure, avoid entering information you would not want processed as described in this Policy.
Religious or spiritual preferences, devotional content, and certain conversation content may be considered sensitive Personal Data. We process sensitive Personal Data to provide the features you request, personalize your experience, maintain safety and security, and for other purposes described in this Policy. Where applicable law requires consent or explicit consent for processing sensitive Personal Data, we will request that consent through a separate affirmative action in the Services rather than relying solely on acceptance of these Terms or this Privacy Policy.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent through available privacy or preference settings, or by contacting founder@godsify.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. If the withdrawn consent is necessary to provide a personalized feature - for example, a feature that uses religious or spiritual preferences you selected - that feature may become unavailable or less personalized after withdrawal.
We do not use sensitive Personal Data to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
We may disclose Personal Data to the following categories of recipients, only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:
· Service providers and processors that provide cloud hosting, databases, authentication, communications, customer support, content delivery, analytics, crash reporting, security, payment processing, AI infrastructure, and other operational services;
SMS and authentication providers, to which we may provide your mobile phone number and related authentication information as reasonably necessary to send verification codes, authenticate and secure your account, prevent fraud, and deliver service-related communications;
· App stores and payment providers for purchases, subscriptions if offered, refunds, fraud prevention, and transaction administration;
· Analytics and attribution providers that help us understand product usage and the effectiveness of our own marketing. We do not provide the content of private prayers or private Talk to God conversations to advertising partners for targeted advertising;
· Professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors, insurers, and accountants where reasonably necessary;
· Government authorities, law enforcement, courts, regulators, or other parties when required by law or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, users, or the Services;
· An acquirer, investor, successor, or other transaction participant in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business or assets; and
· Other parties at your direction or with your consent.
Depending on your settings and the features you use, information identified in the Services as public or shared - such as a display name, profile image, points, achievements, leaderboard position, or selected activity - may be visible to other users or the audience shown in the product. Other users may copy or share public content outside Godsify, so do not post information publicly that you want to remain private. Private prayers and private Talk to God conversations are not made public by Godsify unless you affirmatively choose to share them through a feature designed for sharing.
Godsify does not sell Personal Data for monetary consideration. Depending on the technologies we use on our website or in marketing campaigns, certain disclosures of identifiers or activity data to advertising or attribution partners may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under some U.S. state privacy laws even when no money is exchanged. Where those laws apply, we will provide any required notices and opt-out mechanisms.
Godsify does not currently display third-party advertising in the mobile app. If our advertising or marketing practices materially change, we will update this Policy and provide any notice, consent, or opt-out choices required by applicable law.
We do not knowingly sell or share the Personal Data of individuals under 18, and our Services are not intended for users under 18.
Our websites may use cookies, pixels, local storage, or similar technologies. Our mobile applications may use software development kits (“SDKs”) and similar technologies. These tools may support authentication, security, preferences, analytics, crash reporting, attribution, and product improvement. Where required, we will provide consent or preference controls.
We may send service-related SMS messages, push notifications, or emails for authentication, security, account administration, purchases, reminders, and other operational purposes. We may use communications and authentication service providers to deliver these messages. With consent where required, we may also send promotional communications. You can opt out of promotional messages using the instructions in the message or applicable device/app settings, but you may continue to receive necessary transactional, authentication, security, or legal communications.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. These safeguards may include access controls, encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate, logging, vendor controls, and security monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account authentication methods and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
We retain Personal Data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the Services, maintain your account, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect our rights. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data, the sensitivity of the data, the purpose for which it is used, and legal requirements.
When Personal Data is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or de-identify it. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked to you for lawful business purposes.
Account deletion does not necessarily result in immediate deletion from backups, security logs, fraud-prevention records, transaction records, or information we must retain to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect rights and safety. Any such retained information will be kept only for the applicable purpose and retention period and will be deleted, anonymized, or otherwise handled when no longer required.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding Personal Data, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information about our processing. You may also have the right to opt out of certain forms of targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or profiling, and to appeal certain privacy decisions.
To submit a privacy request, contact founder@godsify.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and request. You may use an authorized agent where applicable law allows it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
You may also delete your account through account settings if that functionality is available. Deleting the app from your device does not by itself delete your account or Personal Data.
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under state privacy laws. Subject to applicable exceptions, these can include rights to know or access categories and specific pieces of Personal Data, request deletion or correction, obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale or sharing, opt out of targeted advertising, limit certain uses of sensitive Personal Data, and appeal a denied request.
For purposes of these laws, the categories of Personal Data we may collect include identifiers and contact data, account information, commercial and transaction information, internet or electronic activity, device information, approximate geolocation, inferences and preferences, user-generated content, and sensitive Personal Data such as religious or spiritual preferences when you choose to provide them. We collect and use these categories for the purposes described above and may disclose them to the categories of recipients described in Section 5.
We do not knowingly use Personal Data for profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Godsify is based in the United States and may process Personal Data in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from the laws in your jurisdiction. Where required, we use lawful transfer mechanisms and other safeguards for cross-border transfers.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, applicable data-protection law may provide additional rights and impose additional requirements on our processing of Personal Data. For these users, Godsify Inc. acts as the controller of Personal Data unless another entity is identified at the point of collection.
Legal bases. Depending on the processing activity, we process Personal Data when necessary to perform our contract with you or provide features you request; based on our legitimate interests, such as securing, maintaining, and improving the Services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; to comply with legal obligations; or with your consent where consent is required. Because information revealing religious or philosophical beliefs may constitute special-category or sensitive data, we will rely on an appropriate legal basis and, where required, obtain explicit consent through a separate affirmative action before processing that information for the relevant purpose. You may withdraw consent as described in Section 4 and this Section 13.1.
Your rights. Subject to applicable law and exceptions, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, receive certain Personal Data in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in the country where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred.
International transfers. Personal Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries outside the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for these transfers, which may include adequacy decisions, approved standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or other lawful transfer mechanisms. You may contact us for information about applicable safeguards.
Local representatives. Where applicable EEA, UK, or Swiss law requires Godsify to appoint a local representative because of the manner in which we offer or provide the Services, we will appoint the required representative and make the representative's identity and contact details available in this Privacy Policy or through the Services. Until a separate local representative is identified, privacy questions and requests may be sent to founder@godsify.com. This does not limit your right to contact an applicable supervisory authority.
If you are located in India, Godsify will process Personal Data in accordance with Indian data-protection and consumer laws as and when the relevant requirements apply to Godsify and the Services. We will provide a clear notice describing the Personal Data requested or collected, the purpose or purposes of processing, how you may exercise applicable rights, and how you may contact us with a grievance or privacy request.
Consent and withdrawal. Where Indian law requires consent, we will seek consent through a clear affirmative action for the stated purpose. Where required by applicable law, withdrawing consent will be made comparably accessible to giving consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal and may limit features that require the relevant Personal Data.
Rights and grievances. Subject to applicable law and exceptions, you may have rights to obtain information about processing and to request correction, completion, updating, or erasure of Personal Data, withdraw consent, and use an applicable grievance-redress process. Requests and grievances may be sent to founder@godsify.com. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Language and local notices. Where applicable Indian law requires a privacy or consent notice to be made available in English or an applicable Indian language, Godsify will provide the notice in the required form and language before or when the relevant requirement applies.
Local compliance contact. If applicable Indian law requires Godsify to designate or publish a grievance officer, data-protection contact, or other local point of contact, Godsify will make that information available in this Privacy Policy or through the Services when the requirement applies.
If you reside outside the jurisdictions specifically addressed above, applicable local privacy and consumer-protection laws may provide additional rights. Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived or restricted. We will honor applicable privacy rights and comply with mandatory local requirements to the extent they apply to Godsify and the Services.
Godsify is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 18 through the Services. If you believe a person under 18 has provided Personal Data to Godsify, contact founder@godsify.com so we can review and take appropriate action.
The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. This Policy does not govern the privacy practices of third parties that independently control Personal Data. Where a third party acts independently rather than solely as a processor for Godsify, its own terms and privacy policy govern its processing. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information to or interacting with the third party.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date above and, where required by law, provide additional notice of material changes through the Services, by email or SMS, or by another reasonable method. Material changes will apply prospectively as required by applicable law.
